Tranzeo Introduces WiMAX Subscriber Unit for Indoor Deployment
The new 3.5GHz indoor unit plus outdoor unit and pico-base station can be seen at WiMAX World EMEA May 20 to 21, Tranzeo booth 600
PITT MEADOWS, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - May 14, 2008) - Tranzeo Wireless Technologies Inc. (TSX:TZT), a leading producer of high-performance wireless broadband and WiMAX communication systems, introduces its new WiMAX indoor subscriber unit for licensed band applications in Europe, the Middle East and Africa as well as Canada, Central and South America and Asia.
Compatible with Tranzeo's 3.5GHz outdoor subscriber units and its pico-base station which is up for WiMAX World EMEA 2008 Industry Choice Award, the TR-WMX-3.5-i-50 indoor unit operates from 3.3 to 3.8GHz and is based on the 802.16-2004 standard. Tranzeo has also successfully performed interoperability testing between its new indoor subscriber unit and the outdoor products of several leading base station providers to ensure wider compatibility.
"Tranzeo continues to expand its WiMAX family of products offering a broad product selection and service flexibility for its customers. The indoor unit is ideal for multi-tenant residential and enterprise applications where it is much more practical than linking users to a single outdoor subscriber unit," says Dave Gelvin, president, Tranzeo Wireless USA.
The units have an extremely small form factor and provide a cost-efficient solution which is simple to install and to optimize for best signal quality using convenient signal strength LEDs. The TR-WMX-3.5-i-50 includes an external 5dBi omni antenna and is backed by Tranzeo's three-year warranty.
