I am a contractor that does network administration as well as the installs. I have to supply my own tools as it is too hard for the society that I work for to keep inventory and responsibility for them. I carry the following with me to a general client install:
Paladin RJ45 Crimpers
Xacto Knife
A set of ratchet socket wrenches
Cordless Drill
3/8 nut driver bit for roofing screws
3/8 hand nut driver for the weather cap and L bracket nuts
400 watt inverter for the car
Laptop
2 straight through cables, POE and adapter
A sattellite mast to mount the dish/radio
Cable tester
Zip ties
Staple gun with 3/8 and 9/16 rounded staples
General Cable brand CAT 5 cable
RJ 45 ends
Large crescent wrench to tighten the black piece to the weather shield
3m weather proofing tape
Plumbers white thread tape
3/8 wood and metal drill bit for the hole of the CAT 5 to fit through without ends
The consumable materials are supplied by the society and the main tools are mine.
I carry the same tools for a radio to go on a tower, or if it is an AP in our system. If constructing a tower, of course there are many different components and tools that would be needed.
I may have missed something, but that is what stands out in my memory at this time.
